Itinerary Details

Day 1: Hanoi arrival – welcome to Vietnam. O/n in Hanoi

Origin Travel guide and driver will welcome you at Noi Bai International airport flight #VN… and take you to downtown city.

Check in hotel. Free to have your own dinner.

On this first day in Hanoi you are free to enjoy as your own way to discover Hanoi nightlife.
Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Hanoi – Nghia Lo – Tu Le. Homestay in Tu Le (L/D)

Morning Activities:

At 8.00 am Start the journey with our guide and driver, pick up at your hotel in Hanoi City and travel to Nghia Lo with distance 220km and take 4 hours to reach Nghia Lo – Yen Bai Province.

Arrive in Nghia Lo you make a shooting photo in Van Chan to view the panorama of Muong Lo Valley far from where you can catch the panorama of the spreading famous rice fields valley in Nghia Lo. Have lunch at local restaurant

Afternoon Activities:

This afternoon you continue your journey from Nghia Lo to Tu Le and make a visit the Thai ethnic village to discover more of Lim Mong and Lim Thai village.

This is the best place to shoot your beautiful photo and you will surprise for its beauties spreading under the sunlight to the foot of faraway of mountain.

This our guide can flexile for you to have a place to get the photo shooting on the rice field. Check in to the homestay and then you have time to enjoy stunning views of countryside and nature, visit local villages, experience daily life.

Have the special dinner with traditional dishes cooked by Thai professional chef. Overnight at homestay.

Special note: December isnot the rice season in Mu Cang Chai, so this month you will discover the local minority people as well as the mountain scenery with vegetable grow on terrace fields. (The rice season separate into 3 main seasons from Mid-May till mid-October)

Day 3: Tu Le – Khau Pha Pass – Mu Cang Chai. Homestay in Mu Cang Chai (B/L/D)

Morning Activities:

Have breakfast at resort. You get up early and enjoy the winter season around village from the resort where you can catch the nice view of hill. Then you can reach to enjoy at Lim Mong valley at Kong Hill camping site or return Nậm Búng commune on National Highway 32 to get the beautiful sunrise photo.

After that you travel continue to Khau Pha Pass and discover its beauties. This is one of beautiful view for the valley as well as parasailing site on yellow rice season on September yearly Tu Le terrace field offers you more chance to take beautiful of rice photo, especially golden time of rice; it covers a large area for golden terrace fields. (However, this month you will see vegetable flower on field instead of rice)
Check-in room in Mu Cang Chai. Have lunch at restaurant.

Afternoon Activities:

Spending this afternoon to visit and shoot photo at La Pan Tan village and Che Cu Nha village where is one of the beautiful sightseeing of terrace fields.

The rest is you get more photo shooting and sunset at Mong Ngua view point (Horseshoes). Having as much as possible beautiful photo here and enjoy the sunset over
the hill.

Special note: You must walk 5km from main road to hill or can have a support of motorbike to reach the village and then can have a short walking distance.

Have dinner with the family. Evening just simple interact with local family and enjoy the mountain atmosphere. Overnight at homestay.

Day 4: Mu Cang Chai – car to Sapa & visit Silver waterfall – O Quy Ho Pass (Heaven Gate). O.n in Sapa (B/L/D)

Morning Activities:

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you leave Mu Cang Chai for Sapa. En route you have a stopover at Than Uyen terrace fields for more discover the beauties of landscapes.

In Lai Chau you have more time to visit Tea Plantation and this is the special of this province.

Have lunch at restaurant in Lai Chau.

Afternoon Activities:

This afternoon you continue trip to Tram Ton Pass and discover its beauties. Reach border of Sapa you will visit Love Waterfall, and then travel to Sapa. Check in hotel.

The rest of time is your free time to experience around Sapa market, Sapa Lake and discover more of beauties in Sapa town centre. Have dinner at restaurant. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: More trek Lao Chai and Ta Van village. Homestay Ta Van village (B/L/D)

Fullday Activities:

Have breakfast at the hotel. This morning guide and driver welcome you at the hotel and take you to make trekking time to Lao Chai village. You follow the road down the hill and have views of the Muong Hoa Valley and magnificent surroundings of mountains and rice terrace fields.

En route, you can meet people from many ethnic groups (Hmong, Zay, and Red Dao), and stop over at stalls along the way that serve tea, fruits, and sweets. You turn off the main road and take to a local path, arriving in the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. At the village, you will experience the daily life of the villagers. After that, you leave Lao Chai to Ta Van village where the Zay hill tribes live.

Have a rest and taste a delicious lunch prepared by your local guide in a local house.

This afternoon you trek up and downhill and through bamboo forest then relax beside the waterfall. Explore the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai where you will also have the chance to see their daily activities. The driver picks you up at Giang Ta Chai and rides back to Sapa. Dinner by your own & overnight at Hotel in Sapa

Day 6: Sapa – Coc Ly Tuesday market – Bac Ha Town. O/n in Bac Ha Town (B/L/D)

Morning Activities:

Have breakfast at the hotel. Drive out of Sapa town to Coc Ly market a distance of 95 km and spend around 1 hour and 45 minutes by car to reach the market.

Note: If you travel from Lao Cai it takes you 1 hour with a distance of 60km

Have a stopover halfway down the river to visit Trung Do, a village of the Tay minority people. Here you have the time to explore the farms where they grow exotic chillis and jack fruit.

Reaching the market you can enjoy your time at the market, walk around, bargain, and take in the sights and sounds of local life. Scarves, clothes, decorations, and other items made of tho cam (ethnic fabric) are on sale at the market. You also see young and old Hmong women, wearing skirts and hats with different types of embroidered flowers crowding the market

After visiting the market you will take a short drive to the Chay River. Sail down the gently flowing waters, lined by corn and vegetable fields, passing beautiful villages, impressive waterfalls, gorges, and caves as you journey downriver.

More sail a further 15 minutes downstream to Bao Nhai village of Tay people for more visiting and discovery.

Have lunch at a local food stall to taste local foods.

Afternoon Activities:

You leave to return to Sapa town and once again pass through the beautiful mountainscape.

You arrive in Sapa late afternoon and get a great experience and you’re not ready to forget.

Note: You can flexibly make changes to visit Muong Hum Sundays market, Coc Ly Tuesdays market, Can Cau Saturdays market, and Bac Ha Sundays market and can end the tour at Lao Cai train Station for the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 7: Bac Ha – Ha Giang – Quan Ba. O.n in Quan Ba (B/L/D)

Morning Activities:

Have breakfast at hotel. This morning you spend more time to enjoy around Bac Ha Town.

Then you leave Bac Ha for Ha Giang and pass through the mountain area to reach Ha Giang town centre.

Have lunch at restaurant.

Afternoon Activities:

This afternoon you continue the travel ahead to Quan Ba. You will have chance to visit Phuong Do Commune where has the unique mossy houses of local minority people (the only one left in North Vietnam now when they build house as traditional way and give mossy from years to years)

You will have chance to pass through Bac Sum Pass which is well known as 6 attractive passes in Ha Giang to conquer and then continue to Quan Ba.

You will have the admiring beautiful mountain-scapes and pass through stunning passes, rolling mountains and valleys of Heaven Gate Quan Ba, Twin Mountain in Quan Ba and visit Nam Dam Village where is famous tourism village in Quan Ba and visit the museum of Nam Dam village.

Check in homestay. Have dinner at the homestay and overnight at homestay.

Day 8: Quan Ba - Lung Cu – Dong Van & O/n in Dong Van (B/L/D)

Morning Activities:

Have breakfast at stilt house. This morning you start the new day to discover Quan Ba. Visit around the village and enjoy its beautiful scenery.

You will have the admiring beautiful mountain scapes and pass through stunning passes, rolling mountains and valleys see imposing pine forest at a Hmong village.

You continue drive through Tham Ma pass where can get view and wonderful scenery of road.

Next is Chin Khoanh Pass to enjoy the spectacular scenery

Visit Dong Van Rock Plateau to get its special and get more enjoyment of its beauties. This is the place of the powerful Vuong family. The palace is as the store for opium and weapons in the past and visit it will give you the glimpse of Hmong Royal life in the past.

Visit independence the palace Vuong Family was evacuated in 1950 and the descendants of this influential H’mong family now live in France and Canada.

Have lunch on the way.

Afternoon Activites:

This afternoon you continue the journey to Dong Van and visit Tam Giac Mach Flower Garden.

Next you will continue down the sweeping roads until you arrive in Dong Van at around 18:00 pm.

Evening activities:

Get around Dong Van, check in, have dinner at local restaurant. Here is the chance for you to chill out in Dong Van. Interact with local minority people to understand more their life and culture. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Dong Van - Lung Cu Flag tower, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Nho Que River, Meo Vac. O/n in Meo Vac (B/L/D)

Fullday Activities:

Have breakfast at hotel. Your morning will begin with a visit to the colorful marketplace of Dong Van. Where locals do their shopping before returning to their mountain villages.

Next you will visit Lung Cu Flag tower, this morning you will make a visiting at this north pole of Vietnam and enjoy the scenery between Vietnam and China.

The trek 7 km to Thien Huong village, this is a little village based from the valley adjacent to the boundary with China. It’s also inhabited by Tay ethnic minority, we then getting back to Dong Van for lunch.

This afternoon you travel along with the road climbs 10 km up to the top of the Ma Pi Leng Pass, through a distinctive landscape of rocky limestone peaks and gaping valleys.

Have more chance to enjoy Nho Que River where has the green water between spectacular mountain.

You’ll descend into Meo Vac, check in hotel. Where we will have diner and spend the night here.

Day 10: Meo Vac – Cao Bang. O/n in Cao Bang (B/L/D)

Morning Activities:

Have breakfast at homestay. You can get up early to enjoy the fresh air of mountain village, get more experience around the homestay

Then you leave Meo Vac and travel to Cao Bang. Have lunch at restaurant.

Afternoon Activities:

This afternoon you continue our journey and sightseeing en route before zigzagging to Cao Bang.

Check in homestay. Have dinner at the homestay. Evening is your free time as your own for experience at the homestay and share something with the family member. Overnight in Cao Bang.

Special note: Special in Ha Giang is “lui” market which will be held every 6 days. The markets normally last from 5.00 am ti ll15.00 – 16.00 pm

And The “lui” markets include Lung Phin, Sa Phin, Pho Bang and Pho Cao markets. Here is the schedule of “lui” markets that are only available in Ha Giang:

Lung Phin market: Tiger Day – Monkey Day.
Sa Phin market: Snake Day – Pig Day.
Pho Bang market: Rat Day – Horse Day.
Pho Cao market: Dragon Day- Dog Day.

Day 11: Cao Bang - Visit Ban Gioc Waterfall – Ba Be. O/n in Ba Be Lake (B/L/D)

Morning Activities:

After having breakfast, this morning you visit Ban Gioc Waterfall – the one of four biggest ones in the world which is between border Vietnam and China. Ban Gioc waterfall which is recognized as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam as well as the 4th largest waterfall in the top 10 most magnificent waterfalls in the world.

Next you continue to visit Phat Tich pagoda (Truc Lam Ban Gioc Buddhist Temple) and see its beauties and learn more of Vietnam culture and religion.

Have lunch at local foodstall.

Afternoon Activities:

You leave Cao Bang for Ba Be Lake. Check in hotel. Have dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel

Day 12: Ba Be - Hanoi. O/n in Hanoi (B/L)

Morning Activities:

After breakfast at the homestay, you will go on foot to Bo Lu Quay where you will board a boat trip around Ba Be Lake.

You can relax on board, do some wildlife spotting or if you need to cool off, you can jump into the cool, clean waters for a refreshing swim! As you float down the Nang River, you can take in the scenery of the surrounding karsts decorated with patches of wild vegetation and inhabited by all sorts of interesting creatures.

Look out for the rainbow of butterflies that flit across the sky or listen to the gentle song of the many species of birds in the park.

The boat will come to Puong Cave where you can explore the stalactites and stalagmites which are a result of the erosion of the river on the karst as well as looking out for the bat colony several thousand strong.

Afternoon Activities:

You will leave Ba Be and travel on car to return Hanoi City, taking in the beautiful scenery on the way. You will stop for lunch at a local restaurant on the way before arriving back in Hanoi at about 17:30. Check in hotel. Free to have your own dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Hanoi – Halong – Bai Tu Long Bay on L’Amour Junk private 1 cabin. O.n on Junk (B/L/D)

Fullday Activities:

Have breakfast at hotel. At 8.00 am our driver welcome you at hotel and transfer you to Halong City. You will spend 3,5 hours on car along National Highway No 1 to reach Halong City.

11:20 – 11:50: Arrival and check-in at the Waiting Lounge in Indochina Junk Ha Long Office.

12:00 – 12:15: Transfer to the port by Electric car.

12:30 – 13:00 : Check-in, enjoy welcome drink & cruise briefing.

13:30 – 15:00 : Have lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay; admire the fascinating formations on the way.

15:15 – 15:40 : Explore the well- hidden Thien Canh Son Cave.

08:30 – 09:30 : Visit Vung Vieng fishing village by a rustic rowboat, meet the local people and pass through the floating school and fish farms.
10:00 : Check out of the cabin. Start cruising towards the harbor while an A la carte lunch is served.

Afternoon Activities:

At 11.30 am the driver pick up at Halong International Port and transfer you back Hanoi city. The driver transfers you directly on Highway Express (2,5 hours on car) to Noi Bai airport for flight to Hue city #VN… (Hanoi – Hue)
On arrival Phu Bai airport, our guide and driver pick up you at the airport and transfer you to downtown. Check in hotel. Free to have your own dinner and free to discover Hue city at night. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Hue city ½ day – Da Nang – Nam O Beach – Hoi An. O/n in Hoi An (B/L)

Morning Activities:

Have breakfast at hotel. At 8.00 am our guide and driver welcome you at hotel and transfer you to visit Thien Mu Pagoda – one of the oldest and prettiest religious buildings in Hue and Vietnam.

Then you go on visiting the Imperial City was the place where Nguyen Dynasty’s Emperor and royal family worked and lived from year 1802 to 1945 including many palaces and architectures and surrounding: Noon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Purple Forbidden City, Nine Dynastic Urns, The Temple…

You continue to visit Minh Mang mausoleum for getting the knowledge of Oriental architecture of the second king of Nguyen Dynasty.

And then you leave Hue for Hoi An. En route you will stop to visit Hai Van Pass and take photo the spectacular of Hai Van summit for panorama of Lang Co Beach and Da Nang city.

Reaching Danang city you will visit Nam O Beach – the different beach beauties in Hue and Danang city which make you a feeling of fresh air.

Continue to Hoian and passing the nicest beach road along coastline of Danang city with nice beach: Pham Van Dong, My Khe, Bac My An, Non Nuoc, ect before reaching Hoian
