Yok Don National Park is located in the two provinces of Dak Nong and Dak Lak. It’s about 40 kilometers north of Buon Ma Thuot city. The park has an area of ​​about 115,545ha. Also It’s a relatively flat topography, of which the two prominent mountains, Yok Don and Reheng. Forests are mainly natural forests, mostly dipterocarp forests. This is the only place in Vietnam where this particular forest type is preserved.

According to the survey of scientists, at present, Yok Don has 63 species of mammals, 196 species of birds, 40 species of reptiles, 30 species of amphibians and 464 species of plants. It is known that in Indochina, there are 56 rare animal species, in Yok Don alone, there are 38 species and 17 species recorded in the World Red Book. Because the forest here is 90% primary forest – an ideal habitat for plants and animals.
