Rooster Church is located at 156 Tran Phu, Hai Chau I Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City, Vietnam. About 29 km northwest of Hoi An city and about 98 km southeast of Hue.

  • February 1923: Construction on the church began on vacant land on Rue du Musée (currently Tran Phu Street).
  • September 1923: Completed the facade of Rooster church.
  • March 10, 1924: Organized dedication and inauguration ceremony.

At this time, the Rooster Church in Da Nang named “Tourane Church”. On September 14, 1924, Bishop Grangeon of Quy Nhon and Bishop Allies of Hue blessed the church and gave the church the title “Sacred Heart of Jesus”.

On January 18, 1963, the church diocese was established. Appointed Bishop Peter Maria as the first bishop of Da Nang diocese. In May 1963, he officially accepted the diocese and Da Nang church. Then it was honored to become the Cathedral of Da Nang diocese.

The Rooster Church was designed by the famous Vallet priest. Although only built in a very short period of time, the church still has the magnificent and majestic beauty of a castle in Europe.

  • Sunday: there are 6 Masses taking place at the following times: 5:15, 8:00, 10:00, 15:00, 17:00, 18:30.
