How Independence Palace is unique?

The Independence Palace also has 2 other names: Reunification Palace and Reunification Hall, formerly the residence and workplace of the President of the Republic of Vietnam. In 2009, it was officially ranked as one of the first 10 special national monuments in the country.

The palace was built on the design of architect Ngo Viet Thu including 3 main floors, 1 terrace, 2 mezzanines, ground floor, 2 basements and a terrace for landing helicopters. The palace has more than 100 rooms with different decorations depending on the purpose of use. Located at: 135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to walking or travelling by motorbike or taxi to get here, visitors from many different destinations can go by bus. There are 5 bus routes as follows:

  • 001: Ben Thanh – Cho Lon bus station
  • 002: Ben Thanh – Western bus station
  • 03: Ben Thanh – Thanh Loc
  • 04: Ben Thanh – Cong Hoa – An Suong bus station
  • 05: Cho Lon – Bien Hoa bus station
