Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is built of tens of thousands of cubic meters of stone, with a total height of 21.6 m and width of 41.2 m. The structure consists of 3 layers: the lower layer and the top layer have a trapezoid shape, while the middle is the remains room, corridor and stairs.

The surface is covered with grey granite, inside surface is red and polished grey stone. In addition to the face and background, the steps are covered with marble. The main door is covered with polished black stone, the walls and columns are marble. The words “President Ho Chi Minh” are made of stone from the Cao Bang region.

Only Uncle Ho’s room is covered with marble of Ha Tay. Two large flags of the Party and Fatherland are assembled from 4,000 ruby ​​stones taken from Thanh Hoa. Images of hammer and sickle with a pentagram made of bright yellow marble. Two sets of wooden doors sent by the people in the South and built by carpenters in Nghe An, Nam Ha and Ha Bac areas. In the summer, from April to the end of October, the mausoleum is open from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm. On Saturdays, Sundays and other holidays, the mausoleum is open from 7:30 am to 11 am.

In winter, from November to the end of March next year, the mausoleum is open from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. For Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, the mausoleum is open from 8 am to 11:30am.

Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is usually open in the mornings of the week except for Mondays and Fridays. However, on special days. Such as the 1st of Lunar New Year, May 19 (Uncle Ho’s birthday) and September 2 (National Day) that coincide on Monday or Friday, the mausoleum will still be open.

How to go there?

If you visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum by motorbike, you can park your car outside at Ong Ich Khiem Street. It is opposite the Tomb Command or No. 19 Ngoc Ha Street – the entrance to Ho Chi Minh Museum.

If you go by bus, you can go to routes 09, 18, 22, 33, 45, 50 to the stop at 18A, Le Hong Phong is the closest point to the mausoleum.
