1. Where is Ghenh Bang?

Ghenh Bang is located at Bai But, Bai Che on Son Tra peninsula, Da Nang city, Vietnam. About 20 km northeast of Da Nang city center. About 108 km southeast of Hue city and about 40 km north of Hoi An city.

2. How is Ghenh Bang unique?

Perhaps because Ghenh Bang is located far from the center, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This place has a completely different color with an unusually peaceful and fresh beauty. It is very suitable for camping trips and picnics with friends and family.

The scattered undulating rocks embracing the long coastline are a characteristic feature of Ghenh Bang. Under the sunshine of spring and summer, this place becomes magical and sparkling.

The trees are lush all year round, especially during the leaf-changing season. And the waves crashing with white foam make the scene even more poetic. Along with that are two steep cliffs and gates welcoming visitors. When you travel to Ghenh Bang, you will be able to immerse yourself in the wonderful natural scenery. Moreover you can also experience many interesting activities here.

3. When is the best time to visit Ghenh Bang?

Ghenh Bang is beautiful in every season, every season is poetic. However, to have a complete tour, you should also pay attention to the weather factor. According to Da Nang travel experience, it is best to go to Ghenh Bang in the dry season. This time lasts from February to August, the weather is sunny, little rain, and no storms. Therefore, you can comfortably admire the scenery, swim and participate in many other interesting activities here.

4. How to get to Ghenh Bang?

4.1 Moving to Da Nang city

Because it is the central region of Vietnam. Da Nang tourism has many means of transportation for you to choose from. Depending on your location, you can choose different forms of transportation such as:

  • Travel By airplane: The most popular form chosen by many tourists when traveling to Da Nang is the plane because of its convenience, speed and time saving.
  • By passenger cars: Currently there are many bus companies from seats to sleepers running the North-South route to serve the travel needs of tourists.
  • By train: This is the way chosen by many young people because traveling by train is faster than a bus and you can see the scenery throughout the trip. In particular, if your schedule includes Hue, the train is a reasonable choice. Because you can get off at Hue station and then move on to Da Nang.

4.2 Traveling to Ghenh Bang from Da Nang city

Starting from the city center, you just need to follow Vo Nguyen Giap street and Hoang Sa street to reach Son Tra peninsula. This is the most beautiful coastal road in the city, so you can move while admiring the surrounding scenery.

After arriving at Son Tra peninsula, park your car and walk to Ghenh Bang. This road is about 1km long, needing to cross the forest with many high and steep slopes. During the move, you should hold firmly to the trees on both sides to avoid slipping and falling. The result of the challenge of overcoming the limit is the Ghenh Bang beach as beautiful as the Western sky appearing before your eyes. At this time, take advantage of the scenery and take the most beautiful landscape photos as souvenirs.

To get to Ghenh Bang, you can choose from many different types of transportation such as:

  • Motorcycles: Motorcycles are the top choice often chosen by young people. By motorbike, you will control your time and visit any place you like while saving money. You can rent a motorbike in Da Nang for only 100k/motorbike/day, but remember to fill up with gas, check the motorbike carefully and bring all the documents before leaving.
  • Taxi: If you are not confident in your ability to find directions and drive, you can rent a taxi which is not a bad way to get to Ghenh Bang. But the cost of taking a taxi is quite expensive and is not as proactive and comfortable as a motorbike.
  • Car: If you don’t want to take a taxi, you can also rent a car. In this form, you will be more comfortable and proactive in your time and schedule, but the price is also quite high, suitable for groups of 4 – 7 people.

In addition to Ghenh Bang, Da Nang also has many other tourist destinations for tourists who like to explore such as: Bai Rang, Bai But, Da Den Beach, Xuan Thieu beach,…

8.1 Bai But

Bai But is a pristine beach located in the south of Son Tra peninsula, at the foot of the famous Linh Ung Pagoda. Therefore, you can combine exploring Bai But with Ghenh Bang to save travel time. Thanks to the clear blue water, long white sand beaches, colorful coral reefs and green primeval forests, Bai But attracts many domestic and foreign tourists to visit.

8.2 Da Den Beach

Da Den Beach, also known as Obama Beach, is a beach located adjacent to the famous Bai Cat Vang tourist area. Previously, it would take visitors 1 hour to take a boat from the center to the beach. However, currently, you can move here by car or motorbike along the concrete road.

The highlight of Da Den Beach is the appearance of many large black rocks stacked on top of each other, forming a unique shape. Visitors coming here will be able to immerse themselves in cool water and enjoy fresh, delicious seafood.

8.3 Xuan Thieu Beach

Xuan Thieu Beach is also known as the Red Sea, because when the sun rises or sets, it covers the sky with red rays. Compared to other beaches, Xuan Thieu beach attracts tourists because of its blue sea water and pristine scenery, suitable as a dating place for couples or those who love silence and peace.

8.4 Bai Rang

Along with Ghenh Bang, Bai Rang Da Nang is also considered one of the most pristine but beautiful beaches of Son Tra peninsula. Due to its distance from the city, this place is quite peaceful and quiet. Tourists often come to Bai Rang to catch the sunrise or sunset on the sea, watching the sky dressed in an orange-yellow shirt that is both brilliant and romantic.

9. Some important notes when traveling to Ghenh Bang

Although Ghenh Bang attracts a large number of tourists, this place has not been invested in and exploited in the Da Nang tourism map as well as developed facilities. Therefore, if you plan to come here to experience, you should note the following:

  • The walkway down to Ghenh Bang is quite steep, with many rocks and stones that can easily lead to slipping. Therefore, you should walk slowly, hold firmly to the surrounding trees and wear sneakers with high friction.
  • To preserve the image of Ghenh Bang tourism, please contribute by not littering the sea and surrounding areas.
  • Check the weather forecast before going, avoid rain or storms that affect your travel.
  • If you plan to camp overnight, you should prepare all the necessary items such as tents, sleeping bags, flashlights,… and food and drinks. Don’t forget to bring insect repellent because the Ghenh Bang area has a lot of mosquitoes in the evening.
  • If you plan to go back during the day, you should leave early and return early because the weather gets nice very quickly in the afternoon.

Not noisy and bustling, but Ghenh Bang is truly an ideal place to “escape”. You can enjoy the wild and beautiful natural scenery of heaven and earth. What are you waiting for?
