1. Where is Chi Lang?

Chi Lang is a district in Lang Son province, located in the Northeast of Vietnam. The district borders China to the North, Van Lang district to the Southwest, Binh Gia district to the Southeast and Dinh Lap district to the Northwest.

2. How is Chi Lang unique?

Chi Lang has complex terrain, with many mountain ranges, hills and valleys. The most prominent point of the district is Chi Lang peak, a 1,423 meter high mountain located at the source of Ky Cung river.

3. How to get to Chi Lang?

If traveling by personal vehicle, you can follow National Highway 1A, then turn onto National Highway 1B. From National Highway 1B, continue going towards Chi Lang town.

Besides, you can also choose public transportation to get around. Take a bus from My Dinh Bus Station, Giap Bat or Gia Lam Bus Station to Chi Lang district, Lang Son. After arriving, you can take a taxi or motorbike taxi to get to this location.

4. What is the best season to travel to Chi Lang – Lang Son?

Chi Lang is located in the high mountains in the North, has a temperate climate, divided into 4 distinct seasons. According to our research, the most ideal time to explore Chi Lang is spring or fall. The weather at this time is cool, pleasant, convenient for sightseeing, exploring the natural landscape and experiencing traditional festivals here.

6.1 Ai Chi Lang

The Ai Chi Lang is one of Vietnam’s famous historical landmarks with its importance in gaining independence, freedom and sovereignty. The relic area includes many architectural works and majestic natural landscapes.

The Ai Chi Lang relic area is also the place where the Chi Lang battle took place in 1979 between the Vietnamese army and the Chinese army. This battle was of great historical and political importance, marking the victory of the Vietnamese army in protecting the country’s territory and sovereignty.

6.2 Gio Cave

Gio Cave is a famous landmark in Chi Lang district, Lang Son province, Vietnam. It is located at an altitude of more than 1,200m above sea level, on the top of Ngoc Linh mountain. Gio Cave was formed thousands of years ago by earthquakes and forest rain impacting a limestone cliff, forming gaps, narrow crevices and large rock cavities.

The cave is about 300m long, 15 to 30m wide, with a depth of 5 to 70m. There are many stalactite caves in the cave. The stalactites create strange and unique shapes, creating a mysterious and magical space. Coming here, visitors can admire the natural masterpieces of the cave and enjoy the fresh, cool air.

6.3 Lang Nac limestone mountain

Lang Nac Limestone Mountain is one of the tourist attractions to Chi Lang district, Lang Son province, Vietnam, with an altitude of about 1,500m above sea level.

Lang Nac limestone mountain has a unique geological architecture, its shape resembles a giant castle. Limestone quarries in the mountains have been exploited for many years, leaving behind huge quarries on the top of the mountains. From a distance, Lang Nac limestone mountain looks like an ancient temple, a mysterious and interesting area for tourists.

6.4 Khau Sao Hill

Khau Sao Hill is an attractive tourist destination known to many people for its beautiful natural landscape. Khau Sao Hill is about 800m above sea level and located in Suoi Ma A village, Huu Kien commune, Chi Lang district. From here, you can see the entire panorama of Chi Lang town, as well as the surrounding terraced fields. 6.5 Devil’s Face Mountain
