Route 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang City – Hoang Su Phi

From Hanoi, you can use personal vehicles or passenger cars to travel to Ha Giang City. Travel to Ha Giang, you rent a motorbike to travel to Hoang Su Phi according to the reference route below. National Highway 2 to Tan Quang, then go on D177 road to Hoang Su Phi.

Route 2: Hanoi – Hoang Su Phi

6. Specialties when traveling to Hoang Su Phi

6.1 Lam rice (Bamboo tube rice)

The technique of preparing lam rice is very simple. The ingredients are sticky rice that is thoroughly soaked, the cooking water is usually clear underground water veins, put into a bamboo tube and then covered with banana leaves. People use young trees, tube stems, bamboo families, each bamboo stem cuts off one end of the tube, the other end acts as the bottom of the pot.

Wash the glutinous rice, sprinkle a little salt, mix well, put the rice into the bamboo tube, pour the amount of water approximately to the surface of the rice. Seal the mouth of the tube with fresh dong leaves or dried banana leaves, then grill it. Heat the bamboo tube with rice over a fire or on a pile of embers, slowly rotating it while heating to apply the heat evenly around the tube shell.

About an hour or so later (depending on how big or small the rice tube is), the fragrant smell of sticky rice emanates, which is a sign that the rice is cooked.

6.2 Hamster meat
