Han River Bridges

The Han River Bridge is one of the bridges spanning the Han River bridges, central Vietnam. The bridge foundation on September 2, 1998, and completed on March 29, 2000. This is the first bridge designed by Vietnamese designer and workers.

1: Han River Bridge

The bridge connecting the two main roads of the city is Le Duan Street on the West Bank and Pham Van Dong Street on the East Coast. The bridge is 487.7 meters long and 12.9 meters width. It’s consisting of 11 spans, 33 meters each span, reinforced concrete structure and 02 spans of stay cables with a total long of 122.7 meters. Everyday at about 1 o’clock, the center of the bridge rotates 90 degrees around the axis and lies along the flow of the Han River to open the way for large ships to pass through. About 4 hours the bridge will return to the same.

2: Han River Bridges – Dragon

Dragon Bridge

Dragon Bridge is the seventh bridge and the newest bridge across the Han River. Because the bridge looks like a dragon. That why we call Dragon Bridge. The bridge is 666m long and width 37.5m with and there are 6 lanes. It was officially unveiled on March 29, 2013. The bridge was designed by Ammann & Whitney Consulting designer with Louis Berger Group. The construction is carried out Corporation Construction Traffic Works 1.

This modern bridge crosses the Han River at Le Dinh Duong / Bach Dang roundabout. This is the shortest way from Da Nang International Airport to Da Nang City center. Specially it goes direct line to the beach. My Khe Beach and Non Nuoc Beach on the eastern edge of the city.

The bridge was designed and built in the shape of a dragon capable of flushing and spraying the real water. According to the design, the dragon on the bridge can spray fire in two minutes and the next 3 minutes spraying water has made the bridge has become an impressive. This is one of the most unique and attractive in Da Nang city. Currently, fire and spray times begin at 21:00 on Saturdays, Sundays and major Da Nang holidays.

3: Tran Thi Ly bridge

Tran Thi Ly bridge was a railway bridge. It’s De Lattre de Tassigny during French period then renamed Trinh Minh The bridge. It’s located about 20m from the Nguyen Van Troi bridge upstream. After 1975, the bridge was named Tran Thi Ly Bridge. Also it was upgraded to a road bridge, along with Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, which was in charge of trade. It’s linking the two banks of the Han River.

Tran Thi Ly Bridge is designed with unique shape and position for the main tower 145 meters high inclined 12 degrees west including 3 flat pendant. In it, the eastern plane is anchored from the base to the middle bridge, the west plane is arranged to twist and turn into two branches forming a wind sail towards the East Sea.

4: Thuan Phuoc Han River bridges

Thuan Phuoc bridge is a suspension bridge hanging over the Han River to Da Nang Bay, connecting Nguyen Tat Thanh with Man Quang bridge, between Hai Chau and Son Tra. From all angles, Thuan Phuoc Bridge is a modern, and attractive.

The bridge is located in a special place, where the Han River pours into the sea at the mouth of the Danang Bay, connecting two coastal roads Nguyen Tat Thanh and Hoang Sa – Truong Sa, forming a system of coastal roads from Hai Van Tunnel to Son Tra Peninsula, via the Minh Quang Bridge and connected to Son TraHoi An.

Since then, a complete travel Da Nang system has been developed. It’s opening up the potential for tourism not only in Da Nang but also in neighboring areas. Such as Hoi An and Thua Thien – Hue.
