Why Prenn Waterfall is unique?
The name Prenn is reminiscent of a period in the 15th and 17th centuries, when the hills and mountains are the battlegrounds of wars of invasion and territorial defense. The Cham origin is the “invasion zone”, while the indigenous peoples such as Lat, Chil, Sré call the invader “Prenn”.
From Ho Chi Minh City, follow the road 20 to Da Lat through the Prenn Pass 10 km long. At the foot of the pass, go about 100m visitors will enjoy the softness and grace of a curtain light water from 10m high to a small valley, surrounded by flowers and pine trees.
Especially with the cable car system, you can across the falls in the feeling of adventure, as if thinking into the realms of the fairy.
What can we do in Prenn Falls?
The falls are actually quite impressive, especially following a fantastic rain. You can ride a little cable car on them if you are courageous. Or you may follow a stone path behind the falling water. That is a thrill, obviously, but the legitimate Prenn encounter is about staged pictures for Vietnamese tourists: Such as. Preening couples, boys looking for macho, and girls seeking wan and forlorn.
Professional photographers conduct the show and present their willing actors on a small wooden bridge, on the rear of a costumed horse, with an arm around a man in a bear suit, on a small inflatable raft in front of the falls, or glancing in one of the trendy tree homes high over. Come here to have a laugh and watch till you discover that, as a tourist. Tthat is being observed, in this case, says Xin chao or return some hello and proceed from there.
You may walk away with a few chums, let alone some souvenirs. Other falls from the area includes the Gougah Falls, some 40km south of Da Lat, as well as Pongour Falls, 55km south west.
