Cycle Tour of Northern Vietnam
Feature: This is a real cycle tour in the Red river delta and northern part of Vietnam . Starting in Hanoi, we take the minibus to NinhNinh and discover the rocks mountain, Tam Coc that called Halong bay in Land. You have also a chance to discover the Halong bay World Heritage and taking boat cruise to Cat Ba island.
Routes: Hanoi – Ninh Binh – Phat Diem – Haiphong – Ha long Bay – Cat Ba island
Itinerary in Details:
Day 1: Hanoi – Xuan Mai – Ninh Binh( 70 km )
7h00 Am : Pick up at hotel or we may pick up from the airport port. A few hour drive takes us to Xuan Mai before we set off on a half day cycling through the breathtaking mountainous region to Ninh Binh Town (70 km). On our journey there are some opportunities to see ethnic minority people, all friendly and welcoming. Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 2: Ninh Binh – Trang An – Phat Diem – Ninh Binh ( 90Km )
Heading out of Ninh Binh Town we embark on a boat trip in Trang An, passing through the picturesque landscape of rice fields surrounded by limestone formations with magnificent caves. The afternoon we pedal south to visit Phat Diem church complex (40 km). Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 3: Ninh Binh – Hai Phong – Halong( 70km )
An early morning start to pedal through the rich farming land of the Red River Delta to Hai Phong. Stop at PhoMinh pagoda and Tran Temple in Nam Dinh. The journey is long but road conditions ameliorated will allow you have more time at every stops. Today is a long day visit farmers at work and local homes. We continue our journey to Ha Long Bay (70 km) by minbus . Views of sailing junks navigating past over 3,000 limestone islands and out crops jutting out of the clear and emerald water of the bay are nothing short of spectacular. Overnight in Ha Long.

Day 4: Ha Long – Cat Ba
Am : Breakfast at hotel . Ha Long Bay is one of Vietnam ’s most impressive scenic sights. After a short transfer from the town, we embark on a cruise out to explore the world natural heritage dotted with some thousands of rock formations. Along the way we will anchor for a leisurely swim in a secluded cove and a seafood lunch. Overnight in Cat Ba.

Day 5: Cat Ba Island ( 40km )
The primeval forest and the tranquil town make Cat Ba Island one of Vietnam ’s delightful places. We spend a half day cycling in Cat Ba, visiting the national park, the central market and the fishing port. The reminder of today is free to relax on a beach. Overnight in Cat Ba.

Day 6: Cat Ba – Hai Phong – Ha Noi ( 50km )
In the early morning we take public ferry back to Hai Phong. You can ride 15km on Cat Hai island before landing. Then we continue your bike trip more 30km then take a bus back to Ha Noi ), stopping at Bat Trang Pottery village. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 7: Ha Noi – Departure
There is a free time to further explore Ha Noi. The tour ends after your transfer to Noi Bai Airport for departure.

Total Distance: 320 km
Number of cycling days: Three full days and 2 half days
Road Surface: This tour follows a mix of asphalt roads, broken roads, vehicle-width dirt roads, and rough tracks, so some off-road riding skills are an advantage. You should be confident of your physical condition and bike handling skills.
Support: Minibus of 16 seaters take care bikes and bikers
Group: Minimum 2. Maximum 12.
Staff: Groups of 8 or more a cycling leader plus a Vietnamese cycling guide and drivers and assistants.
Food: All meals are included from Breakfast on day 2 to breakfast on day 7, except for dinner on day 2.
