Laos is situated in Southeast Asia and shares its borders with five neighboring countries. On the north Laos shares its borders with China and Vietnam, on the south with Cambodia, on the west with Thailand and on the north-west with Burma.
Laos is the only country in Southeast Asia that has no sea border. Currently, Laos relies on Thailand and Vietnam sea ports to import and export goods to and from overseas by ship. The total country area is approximately 236,800 sq km (91,430 sq mi) and if you look at the map of Laos you will notice that most of the country is covered by mountains and dense forests.

The Mekong river is the main river in Laos that flows from the north to the south for 1,500 km (932 mi).
Laos has two distinctive seasons known as the hot season and the raining season; its weather is one of a tropic environment. Overall climate in Laos is hot and humid but in the north the weather is much cooler than in the south.
After The Revolution In 1975
After the victory of the Lao’s People Revolution Party in 1975, Laos had a new chapter in the history and a new flag had been created to represent the country in the new era.
Lao people are believed to be the most politest in the world. Laos customs, cultures and traditions have been followed up to this day from their ancestors for many centuries. The majority of Lao people believes in Buddhism and many of them follow Laos religions strictly. Therefore, you can notice there is a lot of Laos festivals celebration during every month of the year.
