All about Champasak province!
This province is located in southern of Laos and has borders with Thailand to the west and Cambodia to the south, Salavan province to the north, Sekong province to the east and Attaeu province to south east.
This is a busy province where there are a lot of tourists and backpackers came here as they are attracted by the relax country life style, friendly local people and unique attractions like, Bolaven Plateau, Wat Phu temple and Si Phan Don (4000 Islands).
The province has 10 following districts:

5. Paksé District
6. Paksong District
7. Pathoumphone District
8. Phonthong District
9. Sanasomboun District
10. Soukhouma District
Pakse is it capital city and is the stop over center for most of tourist before they continue their journey to visit Bolaven Plateau in the northeastern, Xe Pian National Protected Area, Wat Phu temple and Si Phan Don in the south.

There are a wide range of accommodation to suit any budget from luxury five star hotel to a simple guest houses. In the capital city of the province Pakse accommodation is the best one you can find in the southern of Laos. It provides you with a comfortable room, relax atmosphere and great service.
Further south if you are travelling to visit Wat Phu temple, there are no shortage of hotels and guest houses for you to stay and enjoy too. Champasak accommodation is where you should check out and stay while you’re visiting the area.
Last destination in the south of Laos is Si Phan Don (4000 Islands), here you can experience the great water-fall in South-East-Asia “Kon Phapheng”. Also here rare but it’s unbelievable you can find the Irrawaddy fresh water dolphins which can be seen from Don Kone island. Attractions:
Bolaven Plateau is located in the northeastern part of Champasak province, situated over 1,500m above the sea level and very famous with agriculture products like coffee, orange and pineapple.
In the south Wat Phu temple a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Angkor Wat outside Cambodia) and Si Phan Don (4000 Island) which consider to be one of the most beautiful scenery in Laos.
