We’ve been home nearly 3 weeks and back hard at work. So sorry for the late email but we – Simon, Maia and I – wanted to say thank you for the great holiday you organized for us. We enjoyed it all so much (well, the 20 hour train trip to Da Nang was a bit long – tell other tourists not to do that journey) especially the Sapa trek and the boat on Halong bay that you made happen.
Our real highlight was meeting your lovely families and making friends with you. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness, generosity, good communication and all the fun. We’ve delivered the coffee and lovely munchies to your other friends here in New Farm.

How fortunate were we to choose Origin Travel for our Vietnam side trips. November 2011 was our first trip to Vietnam. We’d read guide books and searched the internet but still had to decide on a company without firsthand knowledge. We chose Origin because the Halong Bay tour seemed appropriate for us. Thus we met Mr Ruby Le and what a wonderful advantage that proved to be. Before leaving Australia we had exchanged several emails so we knew exactly what to expect ( and indeed everything was just as outlined). The great help Ruby offered led us also to choosing his Sapa tour.
We could not have been happier with both the tours. Transport, accommodation, food and the guides were all of a very high standard. The guides spoke good English and were knowledgeable. We used private cars for the travel and were very impressed with the careful drivers. We are older travellers and our needs were well met.
Halong Bay . The drive to Halong was interesting and photo stops were made. Access to the boat was very smooth and efficient. A night on the Red Dragon junk was memorable. The side trips were excellent, the food was delicious, the guide and other staff on the boat were very friendly and helpful.
Sapa . Mr Ruby Le escorted us to the station in Hanoi and put us on the train with helpful information. The carriage was just as we ordered and the train trip quite comfortable. We were met at Lao Cai, taken to breakfast and then to the market at Coc Ly. All praise to the very careful driver and the guide who was most helpful. The hotel in Sapa , Chau Long, was very well located, with lovely views over the valley, very comfortable and with excellent breakfast. Trips to villages, adjusted to meet our physical needs, were most enjoyable.
We have only praise and complete satisfaction with two trips with Origin Travel in November 2011. Mr Ruby Le proved to be not just an efficient and reliable organiser, but also of great assistance in resolving a personal issue unrelated to the tours.
We would particularly like to comment on the extra special assistance given to us by Mr Ruby Le. We would highly recommend Origin Travel for reliability, careful planning, competent and very helpful staff. Many thanks Ruby for making our trips so enjoyable.

Dear Ruby and Daniel,
we would like to thank you for the wonderful experience we had travelling 21 days in Vietnam. Visiting your country gave us awesome sensations, and the added value was the customized organisation we received from you. We have a pleasant souvenir of our guides that helped us to learn a lot about Vietnam, especially you, Ruby, and Mr. Thop from Lao Cai, Mr. Le Cong Minh from Hue and Miss Dove from HCMC, very competent and passionate about their job. They did their best to meet our needs. Thanks to your organization, we felt not stressed and we enjoyed our free time like we wanted to do.
The highlights of our tour have been: the fabolous Halong Bay 3 days cruise on Dragon Pearl Junk (everyone really must try!), the homestays in Ta Van village and in the Mekong Delta, Bac Ha Sunday market, the fantastic Palm Garden Beach Resort in Cua Dai Beach, where we had an upgrade to the bungalow sea view, more than we expected, the charm of the two capital, Hanoi and HCMC, so different cities and so enchanting! But really we liked every site we visited!
We knew that we could count on you in every moment, we had proof of it, and we really appreciated that, when there was a change of hotel in Bac Ha (we did not stay at the hotel expected because of a sudden cancellation from the hotel) you were so prompt to compensate us with a dinner free. And more, we enjoyed very much the Vietnamese cuisine of your selected restaurants.
We’ll recommend Origin VN Travel to our friends.
The only suggestion we give you is updating your itineraries, the tours often take place in a different way. We’ll try to send you our itinerary as we done it.

We’d like to thank Ruby for making our trip go so smoothly. Getting 12 people to move on time isn’t an easy job, but a piece of cake for Ruby. Always a cheerful smile first thing in the morning no matter if it were 5:30 am (waking up in an overnight train).
Half way through our organised trip, we decided to change our plans. Ruby immediately had a number of options for us. When we’d decided what we wanted to do, a few phone calls later and Ruby had pretty much everything sorted out. Pretty cool.
The trip overall was great fun and varied – from the luxury of a tourist junk in Ha long bay to the more basic “homestay” of Sapa.
